Dr. Mahnaz Messkoub was born and raised in Iran and speaks Farsi. She graduated from the National University of Iran in 1973. A top honor student throughout her educational career, she received the medal of culture award from the Ministry of Education and Culture for graduating number one in dental school.

After receiving her Master's degree in Endodontics from Boston University in 1978, she held a full time teaching position at Boston University dental school and practiced part time for five years. Since 1984 Dr. Messkoub has been in full-time practice in Houston. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, The American Association of Endodontics, The Texas Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, The Southwest Society of Endodontists, The Greater Houston Dental Society and the Houston Academy of Endodontists. Dr. Messkoub also joined the University of Texas Dental Branch in July 2013 as an Assistant Professor in the Endodontic Department.

In addition to her 40 years of experience and her excellent academic background she is a very caring and compassionate indivdual. She is married and has 4 children and 5 grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys playing with her grandchildren, reading, listening to music and traveling.
